Response to Do the Right Thing
    1. Which character could you relate to the most/least?
      1. The character I believe I relate to the most is would be Da Mayor, I think this because Da Mayor works for everything he gets, and spends his money that he earns on Mother Sister instead of himself. Being a film major, I work for a company in Red Bank New Jersey as an intern. The film industry is what you make of it, and you only get somewhere if you work for what you want. The character that I relate to the least is Mookie, I believe this because Mookie constantly does what he wants. I personally try to make a the best of each day for what betters me as a person.
    2. Does the script provide a point about doing the "right thing"?
      1. One point provided by the script about doing the "right thing" I believe is at the end. Mookie walks up to Sal the next day after Sal's burnt down and asks to get paid. Sal pays Mookie an extra two hundred dollars and instead of Mookie just walking away with it, he throws the extra two hundred dollars back at Sal. Sal then tells Mookie "Christmas came early this year", Sal did not have to pay Mookie extra but he did, Mookie also could have walked away with the extra two hundred but instead gave it back at first. Both Sal and Mookie did the right thing to each other instead of taking advantage of one another.
    3. What is the "right" thing to do according to the script?
      1. According to the script the "right" thing to do is to be responsible yourself. Throughout the film you see characters only care about themselves, fending for themselves instead of caring for others as well. For example the scene where Buggin' Out only cares about himself and speaking for himself when he asks Sal to put pictures up of brothers on the Wall of Fame. Another character that only cares for himself is Mookie. He has a job at Sal's but takes "two hour patten lunch breaks" or just goes home to shower in the middle of his shift. Being responsible for only yourself is the "right" thing to do throughout this script for the characters.
